Where Is Your Faith?

“As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?” The disciples were terrified and amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “When he gives a command, even the wind and waves obey him!””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭23‬-‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Reading this passage yesterday, God highlighted the question Jesus asked His disciples in this situation, “Where is your faith?” I know this question God is asking again…Where is your faith? Is it in the storm that could bring fear, doubt, damage, and even take you out? Or is your faith in the One who can calm the storm and bring peace?

It’s easy to look at what is right in front of you and get overwhelmed. Especially when you feel like there is nothing you can do to fix it. But that just means you are perfectly set up for a miracle! Because the only one getting glory will be Jesus. Every time you tell the story about what happened and that all looked hopeless, He is magnified again! Every time you stop and think about what He did, you begin to praise Him again. Your life becomes the testimony pointing to Jesus!

He can still calm the storm. He can still make the overwhelming turmoil within you and your chaotic life peaceful again. He can make the storm that looks like it’s going to take you out look like bath water. He’s not afraid of a storm, so why should you be? He is the God who speaks a word, and things naturally and spiritually come into alignment with it. And if Jesus calmed storms while He was physically on the earth, you better believe He will calm the storms in you personally and in your life!

So, I ask you, where is your faith?
