At The Right Time

At the right time, I, the LORD, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22 NLT

I love this new season; spring! Many dormant things receive fresh life again. It’s a time of new and stepping into new things. But what happens when you’re stuck in the old season and not living in the new? What if you are still believing and contending for something that isn’t showing that you are walking in a new season?

“So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. “ 1 Timothy 1:18-19 TPT

There are words received from the Lord that we each have, whether in the written word of God, we’ve received in our personal relationship with the Lord, or have been spoken over us in a prophetic word that lines up with the written word of God. And many of these words have not been fulfilled in our lives yet. What do we do in the waiting? We do what Paul told Timothy to do in 1 Timothy 1:18-19: we take responsibility to take the word of God as our weapon and partner the word with our faith to wage war to see the fulfillment of these promises.

So, why do we need to wage war with the word? Well, why do we have the armor of God? We wouldn’t need armor if we weren’t going into a war. But our war isn’t physical, it is spiritual and our weapon is the Word and our shield is our faith. Promises aren’t promises if they were easy or you could make them happen. Promises are an assurance that what has been told to us will one day come to pass!

“Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The prophetic cannot operate without faith and God is looking for faith to partner with His word so that the promises will become your reality. Faith is needed to access and see a prophetic word come to pass. So fight with the word of God in faith. And until the word comes to pass, you keep believing and trusting Him. Trusting the Lord to fulfill His word is not a passive act, but very active because you're saying to Him “I don’t understand why it hasn’t happened yet, but I am trusting your timing and you are working it all out for the good of everyone involved.“ You keep holding the word and know that God is going to do what He said He would do!

Every word spoken by God will come to pass, we just have to continue to have faith and trust in Him and His word until that time. Every word has a day of fulfillment. And when God does it, it will be beautiful and at the perfect time! At the right time, I, the LORD, will make it happen” Isaiah 60:22 NLT. The word “time” in this verse is the Greek word kairos, which is God’s time (not our natural/earthly time). The Greeks would see it as the opportune time when an archer would wait to shoot his arrow to hit his target. God’s timing is just that; He will break through at the right time and He doesn’t miss!

Suddenlies usually happen after a long time of faithfulness and waiting. Hold on, because your suddenly is coming! Cling to Jesus because He will not disappoint you; He will do bigger and better than you could ever imagine! What I hear the Lord speaking over each of you is, “You haven’t seen anything yet!” And when you receive the fulfillment, how sweet it will be because you believed the word and trusted the Lord!
